The Department:

The 3 years diploma in Civil Engieering was started since the inception of Bongaigaon Polytechnic in the year 1986 and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The program is affiliated by the State Council for Technical Education (SCTE), Assam under the Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Assam. Since inception the Civil Engineering Department of Bongaigaon Polytechnic has been providing quality Education & Training to make the students competent in their world of work. The department is very much concerned about the overall development of the budding Civil Engineering students by giving exposure of practical and real life problems through effective teaching learning process, organising industrial and construction-site visits. The department has well equipped laboratory facilities in versatile fields like Civil Engineering material Testing, Transportation Engineering, Hydraulics, Geotechnical Engineering, Surveying, Environmental Engineering & all most all the laboratories are modernized under World Bank Assisted Project, MODROBS scheme of MHRD, Govt of India, NEQIP etc. The Department also imparts technical services like consultancy, testing and training  under I.R.G scheme to various Government departments, public and private organisations as well as community.
