About Department of Electrical Engineering

The department of Electrical Engineering is one of the major department of Bongaigaon Polytechnic.The department runs 3 Years Diploma course in Electrical Engineering stream. Students passing from the department get absorbed in the State Electricity Board of Assam, various govt departments and industrial & co-operate houses. Some also opt for higher studies in the Engineering colleges in Assam.

To become a front-runner in bringing out electrical diploma engineers of good standards, globally competent innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs with high human values and ethics to become an asset to the present society.

Mission Objectives of the Department

M1: To develop the Electrical Engineering Department as a centre of Excellence to produce diploma electrical engineers of high quality, to serve the society and nation.

M2: To improve the teaching learning process and to provide basic foundation for the students to adapt to the changing industrial needs and recent trends in technical aspects.

M3: To inspire youths to take up research and development work and explore new arenas in electrical field and hence develop professional competency and technical expertise.

M4: To make aware of the current challenges and prepare the engineers to solve them as required.
